    The elasticated Chelsea boot dates back to 1851, but it wasnt until the 70s that we gave it a rugged DMs overhaul. Built from tough, Smooth leather on our signature grooved AirWair sole, our 2976 Chelsea boot is an agricultural silhouette transformed into a subcultural classic. The instantly recognisable shape speaks for itself in this monochromatic rework, built from black Smooth leather and finished with black welt stitching and a tonal AirWair heel loop.

    • The 2976 is the rugged Docs take on the classic Chelsea boot. Manufactured since the 70s
    • Hardwearing and famously tough, our Smooth leather can be polished to shine or scuffed-up. Its up to you. Clean with a damp cloth and care with Dr. Martens Shoe Polish
    • A pillar of DMs construction. Our Original and most recognisable sole. A height of 1.25\”/3.17cm marked by traditional DMS tread pattern that\’s unique to Dr. Martens. One of our most flexible soles, well known for its comfort and stability
    • Our Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed at 700C and reinforced with our signature welt stitch.Upper:100% Leather

      Inner:60% Leather/ 40% Textile

      Sole:100% PVC

    Material

    Smooth leather is as classic as it gets: with us from the beginning, it is famously tough and can be buffed up to a high shine or artfully scuffed up.

    Care Instructions

    Wipe away dirt using a damp cloth. Apply a neutral or correct colored wax based shoe polish. Buff with a Dr. Martens Shoe Brush to restore shine as desired.

    Construction

    Goodyear Welted – the upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, providing more comfort and durability for years to come.
